KILL THE MONSTER!!!!!

2016 12 22

I thought if a bigoted, uncivilized, narcissistic, homophobic, tween was elected president of The USA that things would get out of hand because his followers would attempt to emulate his behavior.  And they have taken his lead or at least his enabling.  Well maybe not the personal 757, the $100,000,000 (that is a HUNDRED million) penthouse, the serial bankruptcies, the thousands of lawsuits, the curled upper lip, the perpetual sneer, the expensive arm candies yes serial marriages, and the denigrating of females.  But we have seen gross breaches of social behavior by his followers.

Yet the odd thing is that I have personally experienced an increased level of acceptance by people.  Granted that I do not frequent biker bars, gun shops, rifle ranges, pool halls, bowling alleys, dark alleys, parking lots, or confederate flag stores.  But in my journeys to places frequented by civilized society I have experienced what seems like an INCREASED level of civility.  Even an increased level of acceptance.  An increased amount of intentional pleasant interaction.  Even an increase in compliments.

Only time will tell if this is a trend.  Eventually we will see if this is an anomaly or a rejection of the bigotry and hate that is being sold by a minority as what they purport the majority wants.  Let us not forget that nearly THREE MILLION people MORE than the minority voted against bigotry and hate.  Let us remember that the MAJORITY favor acceptance and personal freedom.

On Monday December 22nd, Amy Pond, Janet Maybock, and I met for dinner in the food court of a large urban mall.  Right out there in plain sight.  There were no villagers carrying pitchforks and torches chasing the monster up the path to the castle chanting “Kill The Monster!”.  One has to wonder what was in their minds as they did this?  That some religious belief gave them the right and privilege to break another religious belief, a religious Commandment, in their quest to eliminate that which they did not understand.  Because when you really look at it, THAT is what it all boils down to.  Eliminating that which they do not understand as perpetuated by religion.

Granted we present as tasteful, realistic, but perhaps fashionable.  We blend in, albeit perhaps as a woman working in a designer section in Macy’s, or a counter for MAC.  Not as a woman working in Payless or Sears.  More fashionable.  Not to say that one is better than the other.  Just that we portray women who choose to take advantage of the power of fashion.

Virtually everyone gives deference to a well turned out, tasteful, classy woman.

No one gives any slack to a plumber in a dress, what we would be if we did the minimum.

So for nearly four years we have been successfully going OUT amidst the GPs (general population) without any significant issues.  To be clear there have been some oddities, like the woman flipping off one of our members, a guy yelling Mrs Doubtfire as he walked by, offers of money for sex, fondling up our skirts, another woman preaching her message in an uncivilized way.  We are experiencing some type of minor unacceptable behavior about 5% of our OUTings.  And none are anything memorable or dangerous.  Partly because we control the locations and our risks as much as possible.

So get OUT and have FUN!
You are sending a message that the LGBTQ community exists, are non threatening, and that the GPs can have fun WITH us, as opposed to at our expense.  We are educating the public in a subtle way.

And having……

CROSSDRESSING – Part B: THE FETISHISTS

2016 12 15

Not all crossdressers are part of the LGBTQ community.  Maybe a better way to say this is not all guys in a dress are crossdressers.  Those who dress in women’s clothes for sexual gratification, to expose themselves, to be noticed, to get a thrill are fetishists.  Crossdressing solely for sexual gratification, to expose themselves, to be noticed is not part of the T in LGBTQ  (ie: Lesbian, Gay, Bi Sexual, Trans, and Gender Queer).   I say not part of the LGBTQ because the fetishist may move on to some other fetish.  Those of us who are NOT in this for a fetish can NOT move on to another fetish, we aren’t in a fetish now, we do this just to feel OK with ourselves.  Unfortunately the fetishists get noticed because they flaunt it.  This is another distinction.  Those of us who have to do this, don’t flaunt it.  Oh sure we may be OUT enfemme and a bit overdressed but we aren’t wearing a ball gown to the local mall, a neon pink lycra spandex micro mini to the dance club, goth makeup.  No, we would rather be ignored and perceived only as a woman, albeit a well dressed woman.  In my experience perhaps 2% of the group lumped in together by the general public as CDers are really not CDer but fetishists and would be a better fit in the “fetish” community, not in the LGBTQ trans category.

BTW all are welcome to attend our Group IN meetings because we are not capable nor selected by the cosmos to judge someone’s percentages.  As long as they are fun, behave themselves, are good conversationalists, and pleasant, they may return again.

Fetishists are strongly discouraged from attending our Group OUTings.  Our Group is predominantly CDers who do so as a necessity, to feel OK with themselves.  The vast majority seek to go unnoticed, to blend in.  As a compromise for those who are fetishists, OR for those who can’t/won’t go OUT enfemme 50% of our meetings are designated as IN meetings.  No one may join our Group OUTings unless that are able to blend in.  That eliminates fetish wear, ball gowns at the mall, plumber in a dress, body and facial hair, and so on.  We may be larger, we may be dressed up a bit more than flip flops and sweats, but we do seek to go largely ignored.

I wish everyone a healthy and happy Holidays!

I have some more and some continuing posts ready. Fortunately I prepared in advance!

Looks like my adoring retail sources have given me so many gifts in appreciation for the vast sums I spent on my absolutely necessary wardrobe.

It will take me DAYS to open all of this.

A SIDE NOTE

A brief distraction from the current thread:
2016 12 08

DSCN7605My favorite time of the year to get OUT is winter.  I LOVE the extremes when it is below 20degf!  Appearing as a woman, I have temperature zones.  My head is warm because I have a fur hat on called a wig.  My face is cold as is my upper chest because of the V neck dress and coat.  My torso is warm as are my arms.  DSCN9375 (2)But my hands are cold because I can’t get gloves over my rings, and the solitaire “diamond” just refuses to allow a glove.  DSCN9230 (2)Depending on the wind, my upper thighs are kinda warm too.  But from there the temperature drops.  If I am wearing pumps my feet are cold, especially their exposed tops.  Even with boots my feet are cold as there is no insulation in nylons or the thin pleather of the boots.  But the boot shaft is warmer than the cold immediately above at my knee and lower thighs.  If I was wearing heavy shoes, socks, pants, a T shirt, long sleeve shirt, coat, gloves, and a stocking hat, I would be toasty everywhere but my nose and cheeks.rsz_bv_01416 (1)

And then the bracelets get cold.  And so too the necklace.  So when I finally get inside, it takes five minutes for my knees to warm up, ten minutes for my legs to get color again, fifteen minutes for my feet to thaw, and maybe eventually I get warm all over and then the bling starts to warm up.  All while my head is too warm in the fur hat.

All unless there is an outside door opening.  Even if I am all the way on the other side of the room, I can feel the cold air roll in across my ankles every time the outside door opens.  So even though I warm up inside where it is warm, the cold air laying on the floor keeps my feet and ankles cold.

Temperature zones are just another part of why I love doing this!  Ya can’t get them in the summer.

CROSSDRESSING – Part A: A BROAD SPECTRUM IN THE BROAD SPECTRUM OF TRANS

2016 12 06

dscn9697-2

  • This is merely a description of the observations I have made SO FAR in my four year public journey. This will be updated as time goes on.  My private journey is still largely private.
  • People are as varied as the weather. It is impossible to state the exact situation for all the types of people.
  • These are generalizations because the sample group is small, already filtered because of location and that the people are only those who have had some active contact with me.
  • This whole thing is about clothes. But not like you think.  It is about how those clothes are worn that make some crossdressers uncomfortable with other crossdressers.  That is really what this is about.  Trust me.  You will see.

Here we go:

Not all crossdressers are trans persons, but most are.  Like transpersons, most CDers have a real need to dress in their gender identity which is the opposite of their birth gender.  Crossdressing  is predominately perceived by the general population as a male thing perhaps because a female (not trans) dressing like a man is less socially exclusive and might be referred to as a “tomboy”, simply “not feminine”, or “butch”.  Or to the other extreme, no labels for trans females but “girly”, or feminine for the women who are not trans.  None of these terms are exactly derogatory, some even accepted as not unusual, some accepted as a compliment.  But they are crossdressing because they are not wearing a dress or skirt, it’s just that it doesn’t carry the social stigma that a guy dressing as a woman does.  A woman in pants is a crime in parts of the world but accepted in the western cultures.  Think of it globally instead of just your own town.  There are places in the world where men wear what looks like women’s clothing to those raised in the western cultures.  And places where a woman would be persecuted for wearing pants.  I am just trying to get you to see that what you believe is the “norm” may not be the “norm” in other parts of the world.

dscn9745-2Most CDers are trans.  Now trans isn’t like a light switch.  More like a dimmer with no 100% = ON or 0% = OFF setting.  Nothing in nature is binary.  So some CDers are more trans than others.  Think some male CDers are more female and driven to that than others.  And make no mistake about it, we CDers don’t do this by choice.  It is a NEED.  We don’t just say one day “I am a CDer and I am going to dress up like a woman”.  Well most don’t anyway.  Most started when they were kiddies and suffered through a lifetime of shame and hiding their CDing.  Like the trans people, they didn’t seek out the pain and shame, it was brought on by what they couldn’t control.  A non binary gender (M -> F) mostly male in body with a mind anything from just less than 100% female to something less, even WAY less female.  A non binary gender (F -> M) mostly female in body with anything from just less than 100% male to something less, even WAY less male.  They don’t do it for pleasure, sex, to be noticed.  They do it because it is a natural part of themselves.

Coming up:  The fetishists
